Introducing the lightweight Apex Compact 100 tent for 2023, made for adventurers after a high quality, easy to use, lightweight option, featuring Powelite 7001-T6 lightweight and durable alloy poles to ensure weights are kept to a minimum the 100 in the Apex series is suitable for one personÂ
Adopting the tunnel design the Apex offers the greatest amount of space when comparing it to the weights of other styles, the inner and flysheet pitch together making it quick and easy to set up, which is one of the reasons it is reccommended by DofE, you can pitch up in just 5 minutes.
A 70 denier protex eco flysheet is created from single us plastics and offers a hydrostatic head rating of 3000mm which is more than acceptable for the UK weather in spring and summer, it is a great little tent that you can take abroad with a small pack size and a unique Fast Pack bag that can be securely attached to bike handlebars
Some great practical feautures on this tent include O-shaped doors that are easy to open with one hand and a part mesh inner door to provide you with great ventillation whilst keeping bugs and debris at bay, inner pockets are convenient for the small essentials you want at arms reach and high visibility guylines are easier to se in low light conditions

Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton – a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates. | Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 3000 DetailsHydrostatic Head (Tents) – a waterproof rating for technical fabrics measured in mm. The higher the rating the more waterproof the fabric is. A rating of 1500mm is deemed waterproof, but on a tent, look for a rating of 3000 or higher. Measured by the height of water column a fabric weave can take before it begins to “sweat”. “Polycotton” tents will not have a Hydrostatic Head level, as they are not treated for waterproofing. |
